Accenture, the global management consulting firm recently announced the acquisition of Shackleton, a Spanish brand communications agency. Sources close to the matter report that the Madrid-headquartered Shackleton will be a part of Accenture Interactive and increase its ability of designing, building and running integrated brand experience for clients in Latin America, Spain and beyond.

According to sources, the acquisition is one among a series of moves to intensify Accenture Interactive’s creative abilities in Europe. This also includes the acquisitions of Germany-based Kolle Rebbe, Storm Digital of Netherlands and Denmark’s Hjaltelin Stahl. Together, these companies are expected to boost Accenture Interactive’s ambition for creating a leading Experience Agency with topnotch creative talent in multiple disciplines.

For the record, established in 2004, Shackleton is known for its brand building campaigns that unite award winning creative work with a devoted focus on digital customer engagement. It creates digital content and advertising campaigns for multiple clients in various industries, and this includes brands like Uber, Abanca and Renfe. It has won 35 Cannes Lion awards.

According to reliable sources the agency’s 160 professionals will become a part of Accenture Interactive and assist clients to innovate as well as lead their respective markets by crafting paramount customer experiences.
